Smile: Do you still remember?

I have so many things in my mind, things that i want so much to tell you. But i guess i could only manage to say…thank you, you showed me what best friend truly meant.

We knew each other since high school. We used to pass by each other and merely recognizing each other with a nod. We never knew then what role we would be playing in each others lives.

The first and only time that i remember spending with you was during the bible quiz that we both screwed. Did you remember the looks of the first years and the third years when they realize that while they were taking the quiz seriously we were enjoying ourselves so much and we kept on laughing at ourselves? Did you remember how we managed to answer the last question?..inny Minny miney moo….=)

We never spent time with each other again. We separated paths after high school. Not caring wht happened after that quiz. NOt caring that we managed to embarrass the whole batch…competition has no place in our lives right?

Then came the crossroad. We met again. We clicked. Amazing isn't it? We were the ones who got close instead of me and Krystal( who was my section mate and closer to me compared to you…and your roommate that time).

Then it started. we spent more time with each other. Through the laughter, the crazy jokes, the radio station ka-kornihan, the tears…Do you still remember the times we spent together?

Do you still remember the times when we used to go to Silliman beach with our jug of juice and loaves of bread? Laughing our hearts out or simply enjoying the view (the lovers smooching there?). Do you still remember when we used to eat balut at the boulevard? or spend the lazy weekend there laughing at the pairs dating there?

Do you still remember the times when we would over spend and we would spend the time looking at each other and think of crazy things or stupid excuses to tell our parents?

Or do you still remember the last weeks we spent with each other? The overnight at dunkin donuts…the endless debate between harry potter and pastor paul? The jersey you never want to wash…and the time you cried over your lost love(?).

I could still remember the times you cared for me. The times you spent cooking the food and bringing it to my boarding house. The times we spent imagining and dreaming.

We were so happy right?

Why do you have to leave me? Just when i finally found a friend in you…you left.

We never saw each other again right?

When was that? almost a year ago…yes it was that long now…

I miss you a lot friend..i hope your alright.

By the way…

I never go to the boulevard now…i can’t bring myself to.

I had never set foot to Silliman beach again since the last time we were there. It breaks my heart to remember the time you splash water all over me and i was runing after you with the bottle of mineral water…

I never eat balut now…each time i open one i remember you..(not that you look like balut to me..)

I never do the things we used to do…

I hope you still have the tape of our stupid recordings..the Angel radio…the greetings…the stupidity..

I miss you smile…

And before i end this drama…i want to tell you

I never found another friend like you…and i know i’ll never will.
