I've had enough!

I think it's a pity that people knows every single sordid detail of that stupid sex scandal than what is happening in the country. And by happening I mean the things that would really matter in the long run and not this really stupid sex video whose controversy and popularity will not last a long time.

Is this sex video more important than the Con-Ass? Is it more important than the Villar controversy?

Of course, we could agree that the scandal has somehow done something good also. First it, again, revealed how weak our laws are when it comes to cyber-crimes such pornography. Second, it allowed us to re-evaluate our values (kung meron man). Third, it will encourage law makers to design laws that would protect women (and men as well) against internet pornography. And so many others.

Let's just hope that what the Senate is doing now will not be limited to the Katrina-Hayden scandal because we know that private sex videos, such as this, have been proliferating in the country for years now. I guess the only difference is that, those who were involved in the other scandals were ordinary people who had the misfortune of getting their 15-minutes of fame through a sex video. Unfortunately, they didn't have a Senator Revilla to make a previledge speech on their situation.

But yes, I had enough! This matter has already become a public spectacle. A lot of people are riding on to it. A lot of lives has already been ruined and reputations tarnished because of this. There are a lot of more important matters and issues in the country but all the people are talking about is this stupid sex video. People, especially those people who calls themselves journalists but has nothing to report than mere gossips, are treating this issue like it could move heaven and hell.

I think the scandal's closest competitor when it comes to getting the attention of the people is the Swine Flu virus---and come to think of it, it all comes down to pigs. This must be a very bad year for pigs.

What's the difference between a virus whose name was taken from pigs and people who act like pigs? Almost nothing.

But I really don't think this issue is of utmost importance. This will go on for a few months but it will eventually be forgotten in the long run. Besides, by continually talking about this scandal we are bismirching the already ruined reputations of the people involved. (uhm, is it possible to bismirch somebody's reputation if it's already ruined?)

Why can't we just shut up about it, let the Senate continue with the investigation, and get on with out lives. It's bad enough that these people were caught with their pants down (literally and figuratively), it's even worst if the people around them keeps on reminding them how stupid they have been.

So. Please. Enough. With. This. Stupid. Sex. Video.
Don't share it. Don't send it to your friends. Don't put the links anywhere.
And not only this video, all the the other private sex videos ever created.
Hell, SEX IS DEFINITELY PRIVATE! And I don't think private includes the whole world.

And to all those who are planning to make their own sex videos...
Puh-lease! Don't be such an a-hole!

Our technology in the 21st century is sophisticated but its certainly not safe nor fool-proof...if you don't have any plans of seeing yourselves in YouTube or any other video sharing sites as sex video stars, then don't even try photographing yourself naked much more taking a video. If you ever do, then spare us the whining and the crying when you finally find yourself in YouTube.

What is done, is done. We can correct the mistakes but we cannot do anything to undo your stupidity.

I just hope this issue will soon be put to rest.
