To tell or not to tell.

Would you rather lie and let your friend go on with her illusions? Or would tell the truth and risk breaking her heart?

Me? I would choose the latter. Truth hurts but it is better than living in a world of fantasy. Sooner or later, the person will have to face reality and telling a lie will only postpone the inevitable.

It’s like taking medicines when you get sick. You are only prolonging your life but sooner or later you will still die. It is better to be hurt by the truth that to find out later that you have been a fool all along.

Truth stings but only for a while. Lies hit deeper and harder and could hurt beyond description. I’d rather be hurt by the truth and get it over with than live in a lie and prolong the agony.
