i will not always be like this.

Change, they say, is the only constant thing in this world. As the song Dust in the Wind goes, "nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky...all they are is dust in the wind."

But even the earth doesn't stay the same. Everyday, the earth changes without our notice.Everyday, the world changes and we can't do anything about it. The world will always change. And so are the people. And so I will too.

I have ceased to become a wide-eyed child a long time ago. In fact, I haven't been a child for years now. I left my teen-aged years a year ago. In the eyes of the world, I am still young but I will not always be young. Someday, my time will come.

Change is not always good but any kind of change will be welcome. Change is better than monotony. I will not be like this forever. I will not look like a child forever. I will not be alone forever.

Someday, I'm going to prove to the world that I can do more than they give me credit for. Someday, I am going to prove to everybody that just because I look like a child doesn't mean my mind works like one. Someday, the world will finally treat me like an adult worthy of respect. Someday, the world will stop referring to me as a 'juvenile'. Someday, they will take me seriously.

I will not always be like this. Someday, I'll look my age. Then you will no longer treat me like a pre-schooler. Someday I'll prove to you that I deserve to be taken seriously.

Someday you'll realize that I've grown up; that I've changed. And when that time comes, you will realize how much you've lost.

The world will change. Slowly, I will too.When that time comes, I will no longer be yours.
