I just love music. So much. But how can it be that somebody who loves music as much as I do couldn't carry a tune to save her life? Beats me.I am always amazed to watch people playing the guitar, violin, keyboard, drums and any other musical instrument (but these are the ones I really wanted to play). In fact, I only love the Guns and Roses' Sweet Child of Mine song because of the guitar. But I could never really play any of those instruments no matter how much I try. I can only appreciate and love music but could never really make one. How frustrating.
I know a lot of songs (usually oldies like those from Air Supply, Barry Manillow, Bryan Adams, Nirvana, and so on..^_^) and could memorize a whole lot more. Unfortunately, I could never sing a single one of them.
Last night, there was a battle of the bands in school and my love for music was once again roused. I couldn't help but be amazed at how those simple people could produce such great sounds. I love the drummers, the guitarist, (may be not so much) the vocalists and almost every member of the band. I love their voices, I love the sound of the guitar...God! I love music.I wish I too could stand in front of the crowd singing and enjoying life like there's no tomorrow. I wish I could play the guitar as superbly as those musicians. I wish I could be a rockstar, singing songs that makes the crowd go wild.
But I am only a writer and I never had the talent for music.
When I die, I want people to play all the songs I've ever loved; strum their guitars and play their drums like the world will end the next day. And that would be the greatest concert of my life...or the closest to a concert I could ever get.
