and this where your taxes go.

If you haven't been hiding under a stone for the past months, you would be either immune or fed-up by now listening to how those AFP officials pocketed the money that was supposedly for the troops as well as other corruption related news from this country.

I was looking at my Income Tax Return last night while the television is blaring at the background and I couldn't help but get angry by the amount I'm paying for tax and the amount those greed-motivated people have taken from the government's budget. assholes.

I am especially riled by the thought that while those generals are getting millions--tax free, soldiers in the front lines are risking their lives with substandard boots and ammunitions. No wonder some of them would feel demoralized. Imagine, some of those soldiers doesn't have their own houses while some of their officials are enjoying a luxurious life---paid for by the people of the Philippines. again---assholes.

It is indeed demoralizing to think how much these people have taken from the budget that was set aside for the troops. It is demoralizing to think that a lot of soldiers are losing their lives because their enemies have better ammo than them. It would be better to send those corrupt officials back in the battlefield and have them shot. traitors---and assholes.

I pity those soldiers who have to suffer as a result of this. I pity those officials who remain true to their vows but are getting dragged into this. I pity myself for paying taxes that goes to the pockets of corrupt government officials. Most of all, I pity the Filipino people because we are betrayed by our own countrymen and there is still no development in our lives.

I wonder how long will it take before we could clean up the government and get rid of those people whose minds are on their pockets? I wonder how long do we need to suffer for these people to enjoy their lives?

Probably someday when they finally develop a conscience.
