I always wonder why people blames the PMA whenever a graduate is involved in a scandal.
Do we blame the seminary when a priest rapes somebody?
Have we forgotten a very simple fact that all human beings have freewill and a mind of their own? They may have been trained in that institution but whatever actions and decisions they have in their lives are purely theirs.
I think it's just like parents and children. Parents can discipline their children with the best that they can but it is not always a guarantee that the child will grow up and be what everybody expects him to be. It all comes down to the choices the child will make.
A parent can only do so much. Likewise, the academy can only do so much.
