rest and forget

The best way to spend your rest day is to forget about work. Don't think about it. Don't talk about it. Do everything you can not to be reminded of it.

why?

Because you spend five days a week (40 hours) working your butt out and getting stressed. The two days given to you as rest days should be used to de-stress and not distress yourself further. It is important to enjoy your RDs if you want to be more productive in your job. If you keep on thinking about it 24/7, you'll get bored and over-stressed and unproductive. You'll lose all drive to work and will just hate your job even more.

As much as I can, I try to go out of the city on my rest days. I try to do something fun and exciting. I try to do activities that would make me forget about how stressful this work and the workplace are. This breaks the monotony and revives my energy. Though not enough to remove this feeling of frustration and boredom for everything happening around me five days a week.

So, rest and forget. Give time to your self. Do something that makes you happy.
