Merry Christmas World!

I feel disoriented whenever I enter the office lately. The mood is so different from the busy outside world. It seemed that time is on hold whenever I am inside the office.

The blinking Christmas lights, glittering Christmas balls and the prominent Christmas tree adored with red poinsettias and multi-colored Christmas balls gives off the feeling that December has come earlier to the TN office. I almost often forget that were still in the middle of October, months away from Christmas, whenever I am inside.

In fairness, the Christmas decoration gives the office a comfy feeling. Its almost like home. Well, TN is home if you believe in the saying that "Home is where your heart is..." It's like you want to stay in here forever.

Well, having these decorations is not that surprising for us Filipinos. Our Christmas season usually starts on the first day of September and ends in February. How's that for a celebration? We Filipinos decorates our homes with Christmas lights, lanterns and other symbols of Christmas the moment the "Ber" months starts and we even do our Christmas shopping a month earlier than Christmas.

TN is not an exception to this tradition. Cards were already prepared as early as Monday [October 20] during our meeting. Christmas carols can already be occasionally heard while the go about their usual duties. In no time we will start giving kris kringles to one another and maybe exchanging merry greetings!

Oh, Christmas is definitely the most favorite holiday in the Philippines. Well, with all the gifts, sumptuous foods and merry-making that accompanies the season, only Grinch would prefer to stop Christmas.

Ho! Ho! Ho!
Merry Christmas World!
