I never had my own camera. I never even dreamed of asking one from my parents not because they will not give it but because (even as a child) I always believe that I have to get what I want through my own efforts and not from my parents. I just feel that, a camera is something that is already beyond the normal obligations of my parents and should not, therefore, be made an additional burden to them.
I could have bought one already. I receive honoraria from the student publication and have my sidelines (^_^) but because I've never really learned the value of saving, I still haven't bough the one thing I wanted most.
I love photography and I love taking pictures (not of myself of course) and if I have my own camera I will definitely pepper this blog with photos of people, places, things, and everything that stands still long enough to be photographed. Honestly, I wanted to have not just any camera but a one similar (or better) to the one owned by the publication. I honestly don't touch that camera because I know for a fact that its not mine and should not be used for personal reasons. So instead of practicing my skills (if ever there is one) in photography, I just keep it inside me instead.Maybe someday I could have one. Uhm, that would be the first thing I will buy with my first salary. Probably not the camera I really wanted (an SLR one, like that of the pub) but at least I could have a camera I could practice on. Then if I am already good in taking photos, I will save my money (hopefully by that time I already know how to) and buy a really expensive one. Then when I already have that, I will travel the world and take photos of anything and everything.
Whew! It feels so good to dream.
