countdown+company Christmas party

19 more days before the year ends. 30 more days before my birthday trip. whew.
anxious. excited. mixed feelings.
whatever.

anyway, we had our Christmas party last night and it was fun. really.
i was wide awake for 24 hours but i still enjoyed the party. although my ability to respond seemed way too slow, i still did enjoy the party.

the food was not that great but the time spent with friends and the fact that WE ARE OFF THE PHONE FOR ONE WHOLE SHIFT and is awake just to have fun for a change is simply invigorating.

anyway, just like previous Christmas parties, we had a guest celebrity last night-- Luis (Lucky) Manzano. I saw him up close when he passed in front of me and all i can say is, he looks like luis manzano. hehehe. it was funny really. he arrived before the official program begun and we just finished dinner and me and my friends are chatting at the side while other people are busy taking photos around. i happen to turn around just when he was two feet away from me and i looked at him in the eye and all i said was, "oh my god!" in a not so appropriate way. (note: i was surprised so see him so it sounded like i saw something horrible". all of us were holding cameras and none reacted. and it happened twice that night.

i guess we were just really sleepy then since most of us were from the night shift and haven't slept much yet. plus of course the fact that we thought he would pass by the back stage instead of the lobby. that was really unexpected. anyway, i did not get any photos and not for the lack of opportunity (because i seemed to be so lucky (pun not intended) that night--we got inside the hall late so we were at the back-most side of the room and so far from the stage---lucky us (again, pun not intended), the hosts chose to sat there for the duration of the Dance showdown and Luis was right behind us). i really just don't like taking photos of celebrities.

i took few photos as well as i found myself enjoying the show and sitting and laughing with my friends. it was a fun night even though i did not get any prizes (third Christmas party in this company and not even a consolation prize?? i'm just so bad at raffles).
