Bleach: Some Questions

As I have mentioned, I have been watching Bleach the past weeks now and have seen the seasons more than a dozen times already. I guess because of this, I have noticed some inconsistencies on the story.

1. In the soul society you don't grow old.

Rukia said so before they performed the Konzo to Yuichi Shibata (the little boy trapped in a bird's body-- Bleach Season 1 Ep 4). Yet, the events in the story doesn't add up.

First off, when Byakuya told Rukia the story of her sister, Byakuya said that Rukia was just a baby when she and her sister arrived in the soul society. Add to that, she was also a baby when Hisane left her. Ten years after, she was a grown kid running around the Rukongai.

Also, Renjie was a little boy when they first met and yet, he was also older and definitely grown up when he and Rukia entered the Shinigami Acamedy.

In the fight between Yoruichi and Sue Feng (Bleach Season 3 Ep 55-56), it was shown as well how Sue Feng first seen Yoruichi. Sue Feng was then just a little girl and although she was older when Yoruichi left, she was still younger than her current self.

2. Soul Society is where souls of the dead go.

So if the inhabitants of the Soul Society are all souls, how come they still die?

Case in point: Rukia's friends. They all died before Rukia and Renjie became a Shinigami. Also, the soul reapers. Kaien Shiba, his wife, and especially Hisane-Rukia's sister who died from illness.

So, if you are a soul and you die in the Soul Society... where exactly do you go next? Is there another place where souls go when they die? How can you get sick when you're technically dead?

3. Isshin Kuruzaki as a Soul Reaper

Apparently not just any kind of soul reaper. He is also a captain level Shinigami. Which means that he could detect hallows as much as Ichigo can (possibly better than Ichigo) and yet he never helped his children when they were attacked by hallows.

Karin and Yuzon were attacked by hallows at least 3x and yet, Isshin never helped them. And I am sure that it's not because he lost his power as a shinigami because he was able to fight Grand Fisher. He also helped defend Karakura town when it was attacked by the Arrancar.

Apparently, he is also aware that Ichigo has become a shinigami and also knows when Kon is the one inside Ichigo's body. Does this mean he also knows that Rukia is living inside Ichigo's cabinet? And what about Rukia? How come she never realized there is another soul reaper in there?

I must be really bored to have noticed all these things. But, you got to ask right?

Anyway, despite these things that bothers me a bit I still enjoy watching Bleach. It's funny and it's interesting. It is a lot easier for me to understand than Naruto.
