It was gut-wrenching and after researching (yes, I did research it because I don't trust youtube videos that easily or anything i find online for that matter) the tragic story of Peter Connelly, I felt numb and teary.
I feel sad and enraged not only for this little boy who was brutally abused but for all the children in world suffering the same fate. Defenseless children who were unlucky enough to be born to people who cannot appreciate them or protect them.
I myself have not much patience with children but brutally abusing a child to a point of killing it is beyond barbaric. A child is a child, they did not choose to be born in this world and they have every right to be here as much we have every right to be here.
People who kill children are monsters. Parents who kill children deserve to be skinned alive and have their sex organs sewn or removed. People who cannot protect kids should not be allowed to bear children and people who have children but does not know how to take care of them should not be allowed to have sex to stop them from propagating farther.
Reading the story of little Peter makes me imagine a very horrifying horror movie. What makes the story scarier and more tragic is that, it is real, there were no cuts or camera tricks or props to protect the baby. It is real enough to kill poor little Peter.
The story of Peter Connelly is just one among the many tragic stories of child abuse all over the world. So many stories and so many supposed precautions done to stop it and yet, everyday we still see or hear children getting abused. Some are lucky enough to survive and escape.
Every child deserves to live a happy life. They all deserve a carefree childhood. They all deserve a chance to grow up and prove themselves to the world. They all deserve to be loved and nurtured. No child deserves to die.
