for the first time in more than 2 years i was (half) awake until seven in the morning because of work. i am sure my body will get used to this again but until then, i will have to force my eyes to stay open for the whole eight hours of my training.
the product ready training for my new account just started last night and though it was uneventful,it wasn't boring as well. i guess i could safely say that we got off on a good start with the training and i am looking forward to the next 14 days. with what i have seen so far (not much actually since last night was the first meeting and i was hardly awake) this class will not be as boring as my last PST. for one, most of my team mates were the 'kalogs' from my previous account and the trainer himself was a jolly fellow whom i often see hosting during company programs.
to be honest, i am not sad to leave my previous account though i will surely miss the people. my new account is, in a lot of ways, better than the previous one. this time i am sure what my scope of support and job description is unlike in the previous one. aside from that, and probably the most important of all, the tools are way way much better than the other one.
but no matter how much i enjoy the company of the people i am with or acquiring all the knowledge passed on to me in this training, i still can't help but imagine the feel of the blanket covering my body and the softness of the pillow that i always hug. and i know that with this new account, this is one habit (addiction) that i need to get over with.
i have to train my body to get used to this schedule the same way i trained it to be awake 2-3 days straight when i was still a mass communication student and a student journalist in Dumaguete. i need to relearn to function with minimal sleep again and as well as relearn to keep my self alert even though my whole body is already begging to lie down and sleep.
in every change there will always be the positive and the negative sides. the negatives only affect my comfort and so i have to teach my self to focus on the positive aspects of this new change. i know that although i am having a hard time right now keeping myself awake, in a few days my body will again be used to it since staying awake all night is not actually new to it.
and because i will have to be awake again tonight, i have to say goodbye for now and go back to precious bed.
