I fell asleep while charging the phone last night so I had to get up and grab the phone from the table. I did not want to wake the people from the other room with the incessant buzzing of my phone so I turned off the alarm right away.
I forgot that I set the phone to remind me of Kuya Harvey's birthday, so at first I was bewildered why my phone would alarm that early when I usually set it at 7am.
Well anyway, I texted Kuya Harvey and greeted him. I wasn't expecting him to respond since I am not sure which part of the country he is in right now. I am not even sure if he would receive the message but I still sent it anyway. Well, lucky for me he's at their base and he was able to receive the message and even took the time to respond. He's busy, I am sure, so a simple respond for me is enough.
So, I did not really mind waking up that early. At least its worth it!...
I'm just this sucker for birthdays. I always want to greet all those friends and special people in my life on their special days. It doesn't matter if they consider me special or not, I still think of them as a part of my life and I think a simple message could tell them how special they are to me. Char!
============================================
Despite waking up so early, I still ended up half of the morning lying in bed and listening to the sounds outside my room. I spent at least four hours lying in bed, tossing and turning, texting and wondering what I'll be doing next and the next few hours reading by the table. I managed to force myself out of my room at past 12 already, still wearing my pyjamas and my hair in its 'just-woke-up' state.
I did not eat anything because I spent the past two hours eating banana in my room and my stomach almost burst from all the banana I've eaten. I just took a bath right away, changed and left the boarding (a.k.a boring) house.
And here I am now in the student publication office, eating the pancit canton I cooked (if you could call it cooking) and inwardly complaining because it tastes like cotton. Ughhh, I hate it when I cook my own food because I always get indigestion after and it doesn't taste good too!

I was reading some of the posts from my blog roll and as I was reading, I realized that I wanted to make a list of the things that I know and I don't know. More like a tag actually. But not really a tag.
So here's my list...
The things that I know:
uhmm...
1. Write. Of course literate and semi-literate person knows how to write. So, does this count? Uhmm, let's be specific, I can write news, features and opinion stories. I can write press releases, short stories, poems, essays.
2. Use the computer, the internet. Of course, if you can read this then you can too. But let's face it...there are a lot of people who CAN'T!!!!!
3. HTML? Hehehe, not an expert but I know how to make one and use one and tinker with it and mess my layout.
4. Deal with people. I mean people from every walks of life. I'm not a real people person really. I'm not the type who is comfortable with a crowd but I am a person who could talk to anybody (well, maybe not just anybody). As a communication student and a campus journalist, I have been trained and been used to dealing and talking to people from all walks of life.
I can talk to politicians, government leaders, influential people, soldiers, rebels, students, drivers,...anybody. Because I think its part of my job. As long as its business and remains in the professional level I can talk to these people, but when it comes to personal level...ughh..never mind..I don't even know how to talk to my parents...
5. Use Photoshop, ADOBE programs (aside from PS, Page maker, InDesign, a bit of Premier and Audition). Part of the course actually and because I'm just a trying hard froglet who believes that if others can, then I can.
I honestly don't know what else I know...
Ughh...what else do I know?
I think I'd better start with what I don't know...
1. Cook. I don't know how to cook. I don't even know how to light a fire if no LPG is available. I can't even cook rice without messing it even with a rice cooker. I can't even cook pancit canton right.
2. Sing. Even if I wanted to. Even if I tried. I just can't sing. Forgive me because I was only born a writer and was never bestowed the gift of voice. I was never a singer even when I was young. I always volunteer myself to Kuya Junrell whenever he would ask for a special number, I always ask him if he wants me to sing to him when he's working but he would always refuse.
Even at home, my brother would always go out of the house or would literally roll on the floor laughing when I'm singing. Once he asked me to record my voice in his phone while I am singing and I was so flattered. I thought my voice finally improved, then I found out he made it as his alarm tone and he said that it's really effective. My brother sleeps like the dead and if my voice could wake him up, then that's saying a lot.
3. Dance. My brother is the dancer in the family, as well as the singer. He dances like he's got no bones. Me? Don't know how to dance. I got 79 in my practical exam in P.E when I was in high school.
4. Drive. Because I don't have a car. because nobody will teach me how. because I don't really know if I want to.
5. Draw. Paint. Sketch. Or do anything artistic. I am never artistic. I could never do anything artistic. Everybody in the family knows how to draw and are very artistic. ME? ughhh...
I think yan na lang muna... hirap pala...
