trust issues.

A friend of mine, April, texted me last night with this message, "Can a relationship survive a betrayal?"
Later that night I opened an old issue of Reader's Digest and the first thing that greeted me was the Editorial, written in bold black and red letters, "TRUST ISSUES".

trust.

One word that could mean the world to us. For every single person in this world, trust is important. It is an an essential ingredient in any relationship. Without trust, no relationship could survive.

Trust is as valuable as silver, gold and diamond combined. Once it is ruined, everything crumbles like sand castles. To gain a person's trust is a privilege because not everybody can be trusted.

And with this, I think my answer to April's question is already obvious. No, a relationship can't survive a betrayal. If you have already been betrayed by your partner or friend, you could never bring yourself to fully trust the person again. There will always be that tiny glint of suspicion in you and you start doubting everything that the person does or tell you. Constantly suspecting your partner or friend is unhealthy in a relationship, nor is it ideal.

What good is a relationship if you can't trust each other?

One thing I believed in is that, you can never love or llike somebody you can't trust. A relationship should be founded in trust because trust is a glue that keeps everything in place.
