My Art Project: Motivation Wall

Years ago, when I was still in school, I bought a scrap-booking kit which cost me a fortune. I believed then that I was artistic. After days of putting together the first page, I realized I am not an artist and whatever artistic ability I have only exist in my mind. So I kept the kit and never touched it again.

Despite knowing that I am no artist, I still dabble in artistic things from time to time. Mostly starting with so much enthusiasm and ending with terrible disappointment. There are, however, some rare times when I could actually produce something worthy of bragging (although still not as good as others but hey, i worked hard for it!).

This afternoon, bored and nothing much better to do, I decided to make my motivation wall. It's nothing much really. Just some photos I decided to hung on the wall using double-sided tape and some ribbons--since i actually don't want to spend anything on a picture frame which, knowing my carelessness, will just end up on the floor anyway. That was the original plan anyway. I was only supposed to buy something that would help me hung those photos in the most artistic way I can. Unfortunately for my budget though, I saw a whiteboard marker and a foam board at the bookstore where I bought the art materials. And it came to me that I should make a motivation wall.

So,what is a motivation wall? It's a wall where you write the things that motivates you. simple as that. This is where you write your goals, dreams, and challenges. This is where you put the things that makes you happy. Or at least, this is how I define it.

Here is my motivation wall:

What you see there is held together by push pins, mounting squares and double-sided tapes which prompted me to come into a conclusion that these three are among the greatest inventions on earth. On both side's--not clearly seen-- are the hanging photos I made. I really don't know what to call them but yeah, that is what they are--- photos hung on the wall. As you can see, I also have a lot of post-its. Those are just some of my post-its actually. I don't want to post everything there because it would look over-crowded.

And yeah, if you are wondering about that thing beside the whiteboard:

That, ladies and gents, is an empty Sanitizer bottle. I realized that since it's only sitting idly on my table and i don't feel like throwing it away anyway, it would be put to better use if i recycle it. so it now serves as a whiteboard marker holder and bookmark sling.

So there, my motivation wall. A proof of  my ongoing attempt to do something that resembles art. A simple project that made my rest days worth it.

Next Project: Photo Board.

I adore your ingenuity, patience and the love for Mother Nature. I don't have one at home and I think making this one would remind me--ALWAYS--on the things that should be done and achieved.

I like the recycled hand-sanitizer bottle you've made.

this is a once in a blue moon project. i wish i have this patience always so i can finish all these "art projects" i have.

i made this wall to remind me of things that motivates me. you know, sometimes things becomes so tough that i want to give up. then i now i can look at this wall and i will be reminded of the things that makes working all night worth it. =D
