It has often been said that only the truth can set us free...well, so be it. The truth may often hurt but I think its better to be confronted by the truth than be victimized by edited realities. By edited realities, i mean fantasies that are not really far from the truth but were somehow sugar-coated so it will look friendly and harmless.
For the sake of pakikisama we often sugar-coat the truth and make it look less damaging. but how often do we jeopardize everything else because of it? How often do we have to tolerate the wrong because we don't want to ruin relationships?
The truth hurts...only if you are at the receiving end of it.
